Dear DSSAT community,

We are currently inviting applications for a Research Scientist position at the Julius Kühn Institute, Institute for Crop and Soil Science, in Braunschweig, Germany. https://interamt.de/koop/app/stelle?1&id=1455074

The position is part of the interdisciplinary FutureWheatProtein project, which investigates how wheat protein production can be maintained under climate change, rising atmospheric CO₂ concentrations, and increasing drought risk. The successful candidate will work on process-based crop and agroecosystem modelling, model calibration and evaluation, genotype × environment × management interactions, and the development of adaptation strategies for sustainable wheat protein production.

This position may be particularly interesting for scientists with experience in crop modelling, agroecosystem modelling, wheat physiology, climate change impact assessment, model calibration, and data analysis.

Further details, including the required qualifications and application procedure, can be found in the attached announcement. The application deadline is 19 June 2026.

Best regards,
Til
