Objectives
- Discover the domain of definition and the potential of STICS, Version 8.2 (in java)..
- Becoming independent in the preparation and implementation of simulations.
- Introduction to the interpretation of outputs.
Training given by Nicolas Beaudoin, Loïc Strullu and Cecilia Armas-Herrera.
Public and language
- Master level in agriculture, life sciences and earth or ecology.
- Easy going with computing.
- Language: English (unless 100% Francophone)
Cost and accomodations
- Registration: required using the attached coupon,
- Material : take a portable container Java.
- Cost of registration without accommodation: 1) INRA 50 € + hotel include order charge.
STICS Partner: € 50. Faculty non
- partner: 150 €. No external partner: 500 €.
- Accommodation at your expense (a list of hotels will be available at registration, canteen INRA).
- Moving assured from the railway station or the proposed hotels.
Content (the program will be sent to registration)
Course:
- The objectives and principles of STICS
- The input and output interface with javaSTICS
- The formalisms of water and nitrogen balances, development and crop growth
- Definition of local inputs (soil, climate and technical) of the model and simulation options
- Principles of setting up and testing tools Model
Tutorial
- Conduct simulations and comparison of simulations with
observations,
- Creating and linking several simulations,
- Optimization of parameters in JavaSTICS.
Practice
- Study of the sensitivity of the output variables of interest to local inputs, at annual scale,
- Diagnosis of the operation of a culture using simulation options,
- Sensitivity analysis of variables of interest to inputs at the multiannual scale.
