Événement global
EFITA 2015 Conference

The EFITA 2015 Conference will be held in Poznan, Poland, 29 June - 2 July. The deadline for submission of abstracts is 15 April.

The bi-annual EFITA Conferences have for the last 18 years been important events for the international community of researchers and developers within agricultural ICT, with numerous contributions of innovative applications and solutions and, not least, a scene for networking between the participants. The EFITA 2015 will by no doubts be another great occassion for presenting novel solutions for today's challenges of carrying agricultural ICT into the age of smart online farm management.

ICT-AGRI will convene a workshop in conjunction with EFITA 2015. Main topics for the workshop will be the results of the EIP (European Innovation Partnership) Focus Group on Precision Farming and a discussion on the topics for the next ICT-AGRI call in 2016.

You may be invited to participate in projects and you can search the ICT-AGRI database for partners for your own projects. The present call, with deadline for pre-proposals 24 April 2015, is about enabling Precision Farming.

How to participate in the survey? It is simple, just follow this step by step guide.

ICT-AGRI Call 2015: Enabling Precision Farming

The call is open for pre-proposals until 24th April 2015.

Public and private institutions and companies are invited to submit pre-proposal applications for participating in transnational projects, which will contribute to enabling precision farming in practice. Funding agencies from 13 European countries are offering €5,660,000 in total to national project partners. Applicants from other countries are warmly welcome to participate with own funding. Further information, match making tools and online preparation and submission of pre-proposals are available in the Calls section of the ICT-AGRI website.

The aim of the call is to fund transnational projects, which will contribute to enabling Precision Farming.

Precision Farming is a key element in sustainable intensification, i.e. increasing food production with smaller environmental footprints. Although Precision Farming has been studied and developed for more than two decades, adoption of the technology in primary agriculture is still behind expectations. There are, therefore, needs for research, development and innovation concerning the adoption of Precision Farming in primary agriculture. The main focus of the call is on combining primarily existing technology into cost and labour efficient solutions, being attractive for agricultural producers and prepared for the European market.
